Vlaze at KBIS 2023 – Interview with Director Ced Wells
Our excitement is growing as KBIS 2023 in Las Vegas draws ever nearer (Jan.31st – Feb.2). Last year was such a great event with our Vlaze Ochre kitchens receiving such a wonderful response. The quality of the construction and the uniqueness of the design really resonated with visitors. Our last appearance left a mark on the wider industry with yellow outdoor kitchen units becoming something of a trend in the space after our showcase!
This year promises to be even better and to preview what lies ahead, Ced Wells caught up with the KBIS team for an interview.
1. What are the biggest benefits you and your company gain by being a part of KBIS?
The event is a great launch pad to showcase our new modular outdoor kitchen offering to the US and its worldwide audience. It is also a brilliant place to network with the NKBA and other industry leaders. We are looking forward to seeing and learning about new trends within the world of kitchens and at the same time bringing a little of our English charm.
2. What made you/your company decide to exhibit at KBIS 2023?
As a British company, we see it as one of the world’s leading shows for the kitchen industry and one of the best platforms to put our products in front of the right people. We have a rich company heritage and believe we have a fascinating story to tell: our 50-year history of design and engineering through to the iconic signage we make for the London Underground!
3. What are you most looking forward to at the 2023 show?
Meeting existing customers, potential new customers and speaking with the industry press about our kitchens. We are also keen to learn more about the industry and showcase our British designs.
4. How many times have you exhibited?
We displayed our yellow enamelled kitchen at KBIS 2022 for the first time with FireMagic grills. This will be our first dedicated solo show.
5. What kinds of products will you be featuring?
We will be showcasing our full set up of porcelain enamel outdoor kitchens in both our yellow ochre and quilted graphite finishes. We will also be demonstrating how we integrate charcoal and gas grills into our kitchen set-ups and will be showing the versatility of our modules.
6. What can visitors gain by coming to your booth (N1370)?
Visitors will be able to touch and feel the porcelain enamel finish and see the quality of the build. We use 304 grade stainless steel adorned with porcelain enamel – a high quality combination. Enamel is phenomenally different to any other surface finish available in the kitchen arena and there is really nothing quite like it on the market. It has to be seen to be believed! Not only is it tactile and beautiful to touch but it offers an incredible depth of color and exceptional durability. We will also be serving up some English treats on our booth!
