Born for the USA – Vlaze ADAPT Porcelain Enamel Indoor/Outdoor Modular Furniture

2022 is set to be an exciting year for us here at Vlaze. As a business, we are celebrating 50 years of British manufacturing. From enamel kitchens through to signage, cladding and wood-burning stoves; we love to make things! To mark our 50th-year, Vlaze is finally launching in the US. We’ve long heard the calls from our friends across the pond so we are delighted to announce that our Vlaze porcelain enamel indoor/outdoor modular kitchen units will be available in 2022.

Vlaze ADAPT is British made by A.J Wells & Sons, who draw on 50 years of manufacturing expertise and are the principal suppliers of the iconic signage for the London Underground and Paris Metro. All parts for Vlaze’s porcelain enamelled furniture will be transported to the USA and then hand assembled with the highest attention to detail.

Why Vlaze?

Engineered from stainless-steel and available in two unique porcelain enamel finishes – a sunny ochre and a sophisticated quilted graphite. Created by fusing powdered glass to steel at temperatures over 800°C, this unique surface benefits from a wide range of highly desirable properties including:

  • WEATHERPROOF – Enamel is resistant to all the elements be it rain, sun, snow or hail it will not fade or corrode.
  • LONGEVITY – Enamel lasts up to 4 times longer than standard powder coated panelling.
  • CHEMICAL RESISTANT – Enamel is resistant to virtually all alkali, acids, organic solvents & detergents.
  • HYGIENIC – The smooth, sealed surface of enamel eliminates the absorption of dirt, grease and bacteria.
  • ABRASION RESISTANT – The hard surface of enamel resists shock abrasion and scratching.
  • HEAT & FIRE RESISTANCE – Resistant to temperature differentials of -40°C to 650°C.
  • LOW MAINTENANCE – Enamel requires very simple and only periodic maintenance and is easy to clean.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL – The elements that are used to produce enamel are fully recyclable.

We will initially offer the following modular units which can be used individually or combined for the ultimate outdoor kitchen experience.

Vlaze Adapt Island

The ADAPT Island is designed for entertaining with plenty of storage for all your needs. Prepare food, serve meals and host drinks outside on the terrace. It’s the perfect poolside cocktail cabinet – free moving and with a water-resistant finish.

Vlaze Adapt BGE

The ADAPT 240 BGE is designed as a linear free-standing kitchen, for indoors and out with a cutaway designed to fit a large Big Green Egg (not included). With large storage space in the stainless-steel units and a perfectly sized sink, it brings the high-end finish of indoor kitchens to outdoor cooking.

Vlaze Adapt Grill

The ADAPT 240 Grill provides the same specifications as the BGE but with the key difference being the cutaway which is designed to fit a Fire Magic Grill: Regal 1 series 34 (not included). FireMagic pairs perfectly with Vlaze, with an 85-year history of producing cooking products of the very highest quality.

Vlaze Adapt Fridge

The ADAPT Fridge Unit is designed to fit a Firemagic XP1 single door fridge. Combining seamlessly with the Adapt 240 and Island units, it brings the functionality of a high-end indoor kitchen to outdoor living.

Vlaze is perfect for both the UK and the US. While completely at home in the windy and wet weather we’re known for here in the UK, it is also perfect for the sunny Californian climate due to its unrivalled heat-resistance and durability – The colours won’t fade in the sun and won’t rust from the rain. Not ‘Born in the USA’, but certainly born for the USA.
